Niki Lauda

 

Andreas Nikolaus "Niki" Lauda was an Austrian racing driver, motorsport executive, and aviation entrepreneur, who competed in Formula One from 1971 to 1979 and from 1982 to 1985. Three World Championships, 25 wins, and 24 pole positions from 171 Grands Prix.  Having bought himself a spot on the F1 grid in 1971 with March, the Austrian competed in racing against his family's wishes.
