Charles Leclerc Won The Australian GP

Even though Charles Leclerc won the race, The 2022 Australian Grand Prix marked the return of the event after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and set a new attendance record for the circuit that year with 419,144 attendees over the weekend. Ocon started the race in 8th place after a qualifying session he felt could have been better, stating he "didn't unlock the full potential of the car". He drove a relatively clean race, maintaining his position and eventually moving up to 7th after Alex Albon pitted late in the race.
